Based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and originally founded back in 1979, Brightwake specialises in the manufacture of a range of medical and technical products. Under the stewardship of Development Director, Steve Cotton, the firm is readying itself for a quantum shift into new technology fields over the next few years.
Though Brightwake manufactures a great deal of its products in-house, standard conversion work related to low-tech medical devices is often transferred to SureTECH. Due to the demands of the medical industry and the classification of the products that Brightwake supplies, Quality Assurance and the ability of their partners to validate processes, is vital. The nature of the relationship Brightwake has with its third-party partners means that assurances over Intellectual Property issues when placing projects in the hands of others is also a key consideration for Steve. “We’re handing over access to our technology and processes, so trust and confidentiality is paramount.”
While Steve acknowledges that there are others who are capable of doing what they do, for him SureTECH is still the professional’s choice. “Our business is all about constantly moving technology forward,” he says. And perhaps that’s why the relationship between the two companies has gone from strength to strength.
